I have been at Healthworks on the river for about 5 years now, and it has become one of the most important aspects of my life. In that time I have learned how to better control my weight, which was prone to see-sawing, and have learned how to enjoy fitness and exercising. My strength levels are at their highest level ever, and I can honestly say I now enjoy going to the gym.
The gym staff are always friendly, and some have become personal friends. They are always available for advice, assistance or even just a chat. Not many gyms offer that sort of service.

International Pilates Day 2008 was celebrated this month by Healthworks’ pilates class, taught by Lydia Molen.
Lydia challenged the group back in January as a New Year’s resolution to learn to execute the exercise “with good form and a certain ease” in time for International Pilates Day, a challenge the group accepted and achieved.
